Baltimore Business Journal: UMB-born artificial lung startup raises $6 million

A Baltimore-based medical device startup developing an artificial lung has raised $6 million in funding, in a round that could be worth up to $8 million.

Breethe Inc. has raised more than $16 million since 2015 through six separate offerings, according to filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission. Most recently, Breethe filed to raise a round of up to $5 million last year. It is unclear what the newest infusion of funds will be used for.
