The first Professor Venture Fair was held at Bioscience Day 2007 and has since become a popular annual event. The Venture Fair allows inventors the opportunity to pitch their new technologies to a team of advisors, investors and entrepreneurs from the region. Presenters are judged based upon potential commercial viability and the business opportunity presented. The event provides an excellent forum for inventors to showcase their technologies in a semi-formal setting while receiving feedback on their commercialization plan.
