Overview
The Dhivehi Audio Learning Tool is a software tool for helping English speaker learn to understand spoken Dhivehi (Maldivian), language for which there are virtually no pedagogical materials. Users select a file from a number of options and then listen to it. As they listen, they see a transcript in Dhivehi script on one side of the screen and a Romanization or an English translation alongside it on the other. They may also turn off the transcript/Romanization/translation for more advanced practice. The sentence presently being spoken in the recording is (optionally) displayed as underlined in the transcript/Romanization/translation to orient the listener.Contact Info
