Print Save as PDF

Overview

Researchers at the University of Maryland, Department of Veterinary Medicine have developed a cell line that produces a monoclonal antibody (Mab) against Ehrlichia risticii which is the causative agent for Potomac Horse Fever. This Mab is well characterized and has high affinity for a specific Ehrlichia risticii protein. It can be used to develop an ELISA diagnostic test or vaccine for the disease.
